Scope of Work
As a relative beginner to this world, I knew I had to catch up on my knowledge of cryptocurrency and how it works. This was necessary if I wanted to create the best experience for our audience. At this point when I met with our team it was clear that our users would be both investors that are familiar with the world of blockchain and those completely new to it. As a designer, it was my job to appeal our designs to the average user in order to cover all ground.
At this point of the process, another designer and I scoured the internet for other DeFi companies to conduct some competitive analysis. This would help narrow down the general needs for our web app as well as how we could improve and make our app different than our competitors.
Competitive Analysis
User Personas
As said before, our audience is both the average cryptocurrency investor and the individual who is just entering the investment space. Our designs would concentrate on catering to the latter with a user experience that is straightforward, engaging and functional.

Laguna's Web Design
For our final deliverable, we wanted to prototype our designs to make sure the dev team understood our vision. We also included our style guide and made sure to be available for any further questions. The entire process would be a lot of back and forth to ensure the designs could be coded out. Our goal was to finish in time for Solana's very own hackathon. Luckily, we finished a prototype by then.
